Why the details matter
A fire door only holds back fire and smoke if every part of it works together. A closer that doesn’t pull the door shut, gaps that are too wide, painted-over seals or the wrong handle can all stop it doing its job. Hardware on fire doors must be fire-rated and marked for that use, as a non-compliant part can undermine the door’s rating.
How a job runs
1. Send the details
Send your fire risk assessment action points, or photos of the doors and the problems you’ve noticed.
2. Quote
You get a written, fixed quote broken down door by door.
3. Repair
Each door is adjusted and repaired, then checked to make sure it closes fully into its latch from any open position.
4. Evidence
You get before and after photos of every door, ready for your fire safety records.
How pricing works
Fire door works are quoted as a fixed price, broken down door by door, so you know the cost before work starts. There’s no VAT to add.
