What’s included
A typical interior job covers everything needed for a finish that looks good on day one and still looks good years later:
- Walls and ceilings in matt or eggshell
- Skirting, architraves, doors and frames
- Filling, sanding and caulking
- Stain blocking and mist coats on new plaster
- Mould treatment and mould-resistant paint in bathrooms and kitchens
- Furniture moved, floors covered, and a tidy finish each day
How a job runs
1. Visit and quote
I look at the rooms, check the surfaces and give you a written, fixed price.
2. Protect and prepare
Floors and furniture are covered, then everything is filled, sanded and stain-blocked.
3. Paint
Ceilings first, then walls, then woodwork, with proper drying time between coats.
4. Check and tidy
We walk round together, I touch up anything missed and leave the room ready to use.
Decorating rented properties
Between tenancies, time matters and finishes have to survive the next tenant. I use wipeable, hard-wearing paints, keep to consistent colours so future touch-ups blend in, and send before and after photos with an invoice you can pass straight to your client.
Paints and finishes
I use trade paints from brands such as Johnstone’s and Dulux Trade: durable matt or eggshell on walls, water-based satin on woodwork, and Zinsser primers and stain blockers where surfaces need them. If you’ve already chosen a colour or brand, I’m happy to use it.
How pricing works
Small jobs are charged by the hour. Larger jobs get a written, fixed quote after a visit, so you know the cost before work starts. There’s no VAT to add.
Frequently asked questions
A typical bedroom or living room takes one to two days, depending on the condition of the surfaces, the number of coats and whether woodwork is included.

No, I focus on paint finishes only.
Yes. Give me the colour name, or a small sample that a paint merchant can colour-match. I also carry a colour scanner.
