If needed parking costs will be added. Most residents of Brighton & Hove are able to supply me with a visitors permit for their zone for the period of the task and residents of blocks of flats can arrange for a visitor permit if visitor bays are not available.
Unfortunatly, yes. With even the simplest of tasks requiring a range of tools to do the job right, I will need to be able to access my vehice during a task. Without parking, the additional time for setting up and packing away would make the task very expensive. Please advise in advance if parking is an issue.
For larger decorating projects I will provide a quote, and for handyman tasks I will generally provide a cost estimate based on what you tell me so that you have an idea of the price, but the actual cost will depend on the amount of time that a task takes, plus materials and parking. You can never tell exactly how long a task will take, and many properties, especially those with unusual wall material (i.e. bungaroosh/wattle and daub) will often throw up surprises and it is not unheard of for flat-pack furniture instructions to contain incorrect information. I always work in a timely manner with your best interests at heart.

Where the need for additional materials is identified in advance, then I will quote for these and collect them before visiting your property. The time for this will be included in your estimate. If items are identified as required mid-project then I will fetch them from the nearest supplier. I carry a range of standard fixings (wall plugs, screws and glue).
It is in my interest to try and complete a task in a single day, however sometimes this may need to be split across seperate days. For example, when starting late, the need for additional materials is identified, or if you can only accomodate me during evenings.
